Team stand-up (c) Sherryl Manalo

Having worked in different types of software engineering projects and team compositions in the past years, I’d like to share some learnings that were valuable to me and led to a successful completion of the projects my teams worked on. There are many ways of collaboration and application of agile methodologies which lead to successful completion of a project, and I definitely do not suggest that my experience is comprehensive. There may be another way which is better for the same or another situation. My engineering response would be “it depends” on the situation and the team composition.

I’m quite sure that there are more habits an engineering team can adopt. This series will be limited to 7 because of the nice analogy to a famous book and because I wanted to set a limit for it. I’d also be delighted to read about habits you have adopted in your teams and which made you successful.
